Corporate Computer, Inc. has integrated electronic document images within
several IT projects in recent years. We can image, index and store your
documents on our servers for retrieval by your staff anywhere in the world in a
secure manner using the Internet. Documents range from 8.5”x11” single sheets
to “C” and “D” sized drawing sets with over 100 pages. We also have pioneered
the use of routing electronic documents through a pre-defined compliance
process. This means you establish with us how you want a business process to
operate and we can utilize our “workflow engine” to enforce your business
process. This has been developed during the past two years with a large
educational client and is in use today by over 50 users for over 30 different
business processes. We have over 500,000 electronic documents in their files
hosted within our datacenter.

This term is a generic one like “Jell-O”, but generally it is considered to be
the establishment of a sequence of events that are handled in the same manner.
It stems from industrial engineering process studies whereby repetitive
manufacturing processes were studied, documented, re-engineered and
re-installed. People who did this were called “efficiency experts”. Corporate
Computer, Inc. staff applies these time-tested principals to office work where
we document how your various business processes are accomplished today, look at
them closely and then re-engineer the processes to take the maximum value from
the leverage of technology.
Typically, our studies also include a “cross-lace” of your data base files to
identify where each field is updated from and where each value on your
documents is utilized within your overall system. Such a study identifies
“orphan” processes and data base fields that are updated by more than one
source document.
Finally, we utilize an additional technique when we are studying your processes
which involves identifying the costs associated with each current process. Each
cost is identified as being one of three types. The first type is “directly
replaceable costs” meaning that the current cost can be eliminated by an
improved process. The second type of costs is “cost avoidance”. By taking
appropriate action, we can avoid a future cost. The final type of cost
identification is “Improved productivity”. By taking a suggested action, you
can improve the efficiency of a process. These various costs are accumulated,
categorized and presented to you as part of our process study. Many times, the
identification of existing costs associated with various business processes can
justify the application of new technology.

There is a place for custom written programs. Our approach is to always look
for pre-built applications that meet our client’s requirements. If none are
available, then we look for pre-programmed modules that can be assembled into
an application that meets your requirements. When neither of these is
available, a custom program may be in order. We have an entire series of gates
that insure that custom programming that we do comes in on time and within
budget.
